Call for Art:Ā  ECC will provide 8″ x 8″ Ā canvases to artists at designated pick-up locations.Ā  Artists will return panels by Nov. 7, having created a work on a unified theme – some facet, mood, feature of the Esopus Creek.Ā  Flora, fauna, people and communities that co-exist with the creek are welcome subject matter.Ā  Inspired abstractions are also welcome.

The Esopus Creek is without question one of the jewels of the Catskill Mountains, journeying 60 miles from its headwaters on Slide Mountain to the Hudson River in Saugerties.Ā  On its journey it weaves through forests, towns, villages, farms and cities.
To celebrate the creek and the communities it passes through, one hundred artists from Ulster County and beyond willĀ submit original works on this unified theme, reflecting some facet, mood or feature of the Esopus Creek as it makes its way through the Esopus Valley.

These stellar works will be sold anonymously, for $100 each.

YourĀ support will allow ECC to continue the free-of-chargeĀ ‘Kids-in-Nature’ programmingĀ – – creating memorable, funĀ andĀ educationalĀ outdoor experiences at Esopus Bend NatureĀ Preserve and other nearby parks for Saugerties kids.
